Pays de la Loire, Regio Venlo, West Finland, Zealand Denmark and Region Östergötland are organising an Insect Economy* workshop in Brussels 16th - 17th of May.

The workshop will be a lunch to lunch working meeting for experts representing research, development and business within the Insect Economy.

The aim of the workshop is to work together on the challenges and opportunities of the Insect Economy and meet and discuss with relevant European Commission officials.

*”Insect Economy” refers to utilisation of insects for food or non-food purposes so that there are economic, nutritional or other benefits from their use. It includes the farming of insectst for these purposes as well as utilisation of insects, or biological materiasl derived from the insects (eg. Honey), for food or non-food purposes.
