Representation of the South Moravian Region to the EU, Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation and its partners are pleased to announce that the sixth Science Café, an unconventional open discussion with scientist, will take place on 28 June 2017 in Pilsen House in Brussels. Our guest will be Jan Konvalinka, recognized scientist working in the field of biochemistry. He was involved in development of the first inhibitors of the HIV protease. Currently he is focused on viral resistance development. Dr. Konvalinka holds position of vice-rector for research at the Charles University in Prague and head of department at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
