EU Space Policy
Date: 8th - 9th NovemberVenue: European Parliament, Brussels
High-level Conference on European Space Policy, its benefits for citizens and society, its financing and governance, related industrial policy, and the development of space-based applications in the service of EU citizens and EU policy-making.
The aim will be to identify concrete examples of how progress in developing space-based tools and infrastructure can help address some of the key challenges facing the EU, such as through the creation of innovative services, action on climate change, and crisis prevention and management. Industrial policy, research and innovation, governance and financing will also be examined.
The Conference comes at a crucial time, when the EU's institutions and Member States are negotiating the future EU multiannual financial framework, and will take place a few weeks after the scheduled launch of the first two Galileo satellites and a few months after the adoption of a Space Strategy for Europe.
Registration will be opened in September.
