Energy Working Group Leaders: Tuscany EU Office and West Midlands in Europe
Objectives:
The group covers a wide variety of issues connected to the theme of energy. This includes renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and connected environmental issues. The group works on a bottom-up basis and is open to expressions of interests in topics from all group members.
The main aims of the group are:
- To support Brussels representatives with coordinated and up-to-date information on energy initiatives at European level
- To build trusting relations between Brussels representatives from different regions
- To support Brussels representatives in gaining greater knowledge of actions and experiences from other European regions
- To support networking and project development among practitioners in member regions
- To build capacity among Brussels representatives and practitioners in terms of European cooperation in the field of energy
Activities:
The Energy Working Group is organising monthly meetings for the Brussels representatives. At each meeting, a specific energy related theme is dealt with (e.g. specific renewable energy sources, specific policy initiatives, issues related to improving energy efficiency and RE uptake).

2 meetings or training sessions for practitioners are organised per year. Theseare directly related to project development.

Frequent and updated information is provided to Energy Working Group members

The Energy Working Group work to encourage more responsible behaviour among its own members in terms of energy consumption and efficiency

Periodic evaluations on Energy Working Group activities are held

The Energy Working Group work in close contact with the ERRIN Secretariat and other working groups in order to promote synergy among activities
