ERRIN calls for increased public support for R&D to combat Climate Change
The Copenhagen Climate change conference is only a few weeks away. Meanwhile the climate change clock keeps ticking and we need action on the ground.
It is clear that technology will play an important role in meeting the challenges and public support is essential to catalyze technology development and innovation.
To that end we welcome the European Commission proposal for COP 15 to double low-carbon research and development by 2012, and quadruple it by 2020.
ERRIN, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network, has produced a statement to emphasize the role of regions in creating research and innovation friendly environments and provides examples of excellence within the regions in delivering on low-carbon technologies.
Please download ERRIN's policy statement, which we hope, will be of interest to you.
