Project development is the core business of ERRIN and is a main pillar of the work of the thematic Working Groups. For ERRIN it is not enough to provide early intelligence on project opportunities and a networking platform for Brussels-based officers and regional practitioners. Successful EU project development needs a long-term commitment, a culture of trust and understanding of regional profiles, expertise and needs, moderation skills and knowledge about methodologies for group interaction and specific set of analytical, organizational and drafting skills. To further improve EU project development skills among its members and prepare the ground for fruitful interaction within its thematic working groups is one of the horizontal goals of ERRIN.
ERRIN Project Working Group
The ERRIN project group is a horizontal group that aims to ensure the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of working group activities. Among others, it plans and organises training seminars for members and advises the ERRIN MB, Secretariat and WG leader in analyzing and redefining the scope of the ERRIN Working Groups and in further improving the methodology for practitioner meetings. The Project Group also coordinates the ERRIN membership of the European Cluster Alliance (ECA) and it participates in the ECA-ClUNET project which aims on a report and the shaping of a platform for Intercluster exchange in the EU. Further, it participates in the upcoming discussion on FP 8, through its involvement in the ERRIN FP8 Task Force.
