To address the common challenges of the 21st century, EU regions and cities are increasingly looking for innovative solutions and coordinated efforts. Transition to circular economy and digital transformation are key aspects in this respect, presenting enormous growth potential for Europe.

By showcasing regional best practices and successful projects in these two fields, the workshop aims at emphasizing the role of local authorities in fostering innovation as well as the importance of Cohesion Policy in creating investment opportunities for EU territories.

This session of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2018 is organised by ERRIN Member Region Veneto (IT) together with a partnership of 13 different European Regions (Carinthia – AT; Kujawsko Pomorskie – PL; Pomorskie – PL; Nordland – NO; Lazio Region – IT; Vojvodina – SB; Marche – IT; Lombardia – IT; Tyrol – AT; South Tyrol – IT; Trentino – IT; Municipality of Fyli – GR; Friuli Venezia Giulia – IT).
