The Economy of Robots

We are delighted to invite you and your esteemed colleagues to the workshop ‘The Economy of Robots’ that will take place on the 9th of April 2018 at the European Parliament in Brussels. The workshop will be hosted by the distinguished Member of the European Parliament Mrs. Mady Delvaux-Stehres and will be chaired by the Research Board Member of the euRobotics and SPARC Prof. Fabio Bonsignorio. Please, find the agenda in the attached files. The workshop aims to inform the Members of the European Parliament and all participants about the state of play on the ‘Internet of robots and artificial intelligence systems’. Leading international experts in technology, economy, business, and law will elaborate on the scenario where high-level automation spreads through all domains of social life: cryptocurrencies become ‘the money for robots’, autonomous agents communicate with each other without human intervention, their capability to earn, store and spend digital money makes them economically autonomous and regulated by the market and legal rules. The workshop will provide opportunity to reflect on these dimensions and possible implications of such emerging disruptive innovation.   Online registration is mandatory. The participation is free of charge. Register before 1 April 2018 here. If you may need an access pass to the European Parliament, please provide ID/passport number, nationality and your date of birth in the registration form.
