Representation of the South Moravian Region and its partners are pleased to invite you to Science Café with Michal Hejcman, an unconventional open discussion focused on question “When botany and chemistry meet archaeology?”. Prof. Michal Hejcman is a recognized scientist in the field of environmental chemistry, agronomy and botany. His research is focused on patterns of human subsistence across time and space. He conducts investigations of deserted human settlements, and has participated in various archaeological excavations. He analyses chemical footprints left behind by dead bodies and other organisms on Earth. Prof. Hejcman and his team operate from the cradle of agricultural civilization and Biblical cities in Israel through the Central Europe to the very limit of agricultural settlement in Iceland. Michal Hejcman leads the research group Human Adaptability Studies at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. More about our guest can be found here.
