European Office of the Metropolitan Region FrankfurtRheinMain

Geographically, it is at the very centre of Europe: the Metropolitan Region FrankfurtRheinMain. Germany’s traditional heart of finance and trading is one of the most dynamic and innovative regions in the EU and an important hub of international transport. Over a hundred research institutes as well as 30 universities develop solutions for the future here and around 5,8 Million people enjoy an excellent quality of life with varied cultural and leisure facilities. The European Office of the Metropolitan Region FrankfurtRheinMain is our “Link to Europe”, representing the Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain and all the municipalities in the greater Metropolitan Region covering major cities like Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt or Offenbach, as well as regional organisations like the Chamber of Commerce Frankfurt or the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund Servicegesellschaft (rms) GmbH. Our thematic fields of work in Brussels include regional and urban development, land-use planning, mobility, digitalisation, energy, climate and environmental protection and – last but not least – R+I. It’s not only our mission to open doors for our partner’s projects to EU funding, but also to shape the European funding landscape actively and engage in the EU policy-making on all dossiers relevant for the Metropolitan Region.
