BRIGAID opens the third and last call for innovations (Deadline: 15 August 2018)

Do you have an innovation that has the potential to reduce risks from natural hazards? Are you eager to improve your innovation, make it fit with needs of end users, and meet with prospective clients? Submit the description of your innovative solution before August 15 2018 to climate-innovation@brigaid.eu. Read more on the website (www.brigaid.eu) or download the brochure available here. Minimum requirements of innovations: has been developed by an innovator with legal representatives in a EU or associated country mitigates impacts from floods, droughts or extreme weather events is at a technical readiness level (TRL) of 4 or higher (i.e. a prototype has  been developed and is ready for further testing in the lab or field) is a structural, software or nature based solution About BRIGAID BRIGAID is a 4-year project (2016-2020) under EU Horizon2020 aimed to effectively bridge the gap between innovators and end-users in resilience to floods, droughts and extreme weather. Europe is particularly prone to these natural hazards and evidence is now ever stronger that damages will increase. Evaluations also show a huge potential to reduce these risks through adaptation strategies. BRIGAID clears the path to deliver innovations to the market through the assessment and improvement of Technical, Social and Market readiness. By advancing these three factors simultaneously, BRIGAID smoothens the development path, because technical, social and market requirements can be incorporated in the design, business model and market approach early on. Throughout the three innovation cycles, the 75-100 promising innovations on floods, droughts and extreme weather are assessed, of these, the 35-50 most promising ones are improved, from which the top 20- 30 innovations with the highest socio-technical and investment readiness are supported to access the market.
