The European Commission seeks three experts to join the European Green Capital and European Green Leaf Expert Panel (Deadline: 31st July)

The European Commission is currently recruiting three Technical Experts to sit on the European Green Capital and European Green Leaf Awards Expert Panel. These competitions reward cities that achieve outstanding environmental outcomes in Urban Sustainability. Experts are being sought in the following Environmental Indicator areas (Application forms and further information can be found by clicking each of the links below): Energy Performance Noise Sustainable Land Use Experts must have: proven and relevant competence and experience, including at European and / or international level, in the field of working with EU environment policy / sustainable urban development with strong focus on the particular environmental indicator; absence of circumstances that could give rise to a conflict of interest; good knowledge of the English language allowing active participation in the discussions. The deadline for individuals to apply is the 31st of July 2018. Selected Experts will be expected to perform evaluations and associated tasks for each competitive cycle and to attend 3 meetings per year. Meetings shall, in principle, be held on Commission premises in Brussels or in a European Green Capital or European Green Leaf city title holder (outside Commission premises).
