The European Commission completed last autumn an independent ex post evaluation of Cohesion policy investments, providing key figures on the results for the 2007-2013 programming period. In total, Cohesion Policy invested EUR 346.5 billion to reduce disparities between regions and promote balanced and sustainable development across EU regions.   Investments were mainly made in the areas of employment, transport, education, environment and research.   Watch the results of EU funding in your country in a video here.
