On Wednesday 31st May 2017 The Economist Intelligence Unit published a white paper examining the policy challenges facing the new South Korea president, Moon Jae-in, and expectations for what he can achieve in office.

On Thursday June 15th we will host a webinar analysing this topic further, addressing questions such as:

  • How successful will the president be at fulfilling his campaign pledges, including tackling labour market reform, and curbing the influence of the country’s predominant family controlled business conglomerates (chaebol)?
  • Will there be a successful return to the ‘sunshine’ policy of engagement with North Korea?

Join us on Thursday June 15th at 4.00pm-4.45pm British Summer Time (11.am-11.45am Eastern Daylight Time) to hear the latest analysis from our South Korea analyst, Agathe L’homme, and to ask any questions.
