The European Commission's Bioeconomy Knowledge Centre (BKC) will be launched at this event as the Commission's central knowledge hub on the bioeconomy.
Its purpose is to help to manage knowledge demand (helping users identifying the knowledge they really need), and knowledge supply (informing knowledge producers about users' needs; making knowledge available to (EU) policy makers and stakeholders).
Participants will explore how improved knowledge on bioeconomy can help policymakers better design related EU policies in the short, medium and long term.
- How can data and knowledge about bioeconomy be made more useful for policy making?
- What gaps and challenges still exist for evidence-based bioeconomy policy making?
The event is co-hosted by the Joint Research Centre and the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission.
Registration is open until 15th July.
