ERRIN welcomes Sarah English as the new Network Chair

Yesterday, the ERRIN Management Board selected Sarah English (Scotland Europa) as the new network Chair. She has been a member of the ERRIN Management Board since 2014 and served as a Vice-Chair for the last three years. She takes over the role from Lars Holte Nielsen (Central Denmark) who has been the Chair since 2016. We would like to extend our gratitude to Lars, who will remain as a Vice-Chair of the network.

The Troika composed of Sarah English, Lars Holte Nielsen and Hortense Lutz-Hermellin (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) will continue to work jointly for the coming two-year period and to support the completion of a number of ongoing areas of Board work. The collaboration of the three Chairs reflects the current model of sharing responsibilities amongst the postholders, in line with their knowledge and experience in order to ensure the best support and advice for both the Director and the Secretariat as a whole. The Troika will be supported by Jan Urlings (West Midlands Europe Hub), who will continue in his role as Treasurer in 2020.

At the same time, the Management Board also held a joint session with the ERRIN Working Group leaders to discuss the network’s priorities as well as the work plan for 2020. This is a good example of intensified collaboration between the Management Board and the leaders of our thirteen Working Groups.
