The Bioeconomy Working Group is focused on increasing the influence of regions and their stakeholders in shaping the European Bioeconomy. One of the current objectives of the Working Group is also develop the contacts with the European policy-makers and increase the cooperation and projects between the European regions in this field.

Blue Circular Economy WG

The next BIO and BIG joint WG will take place on 15th September and will focus on blue circular economy and to innovative technologies/methods/products and research to maximise and protect marine resources. DG ENVE and DG RTD will be invited to describe the European framework, regulations and state of play. 3 regional case studies in marine waste, waste and bioeconomy and food safety, all in a circular economy perspective, will be presented. A draft agenda will follow soon.
