Annual I3 Instrument Forum 2025 - registration open
The first annual Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument Forum will take place in Brussels on 24-25 September 2025, organised by the European Commission’s I3 Instrument Support Facility, in collaboration with EISMEA and DG REGIO. Policymakers, regional authorities, and innovation leaders will gather to discuss the impact of the I3 Instrument, share best practices, and foster collaboration.
Now in its third year, the I3 Instrument is playing a vital role in building resilient regional value chains and accelerating innovation through interregional collaboration. The Annual I3 Instrument Forum 2025 will be an opportunity to see how these interregional investments are being put into practice, and to understand what they mean for Europe’s innovation future. It will highlight successful I3 Instrument projects, synergies, and innovative approaches, shaping the future of interregional investments in Europe.
The first day of the Forum will be a high-level political event, with registration possible for all. The programme will feature a plenary session and panel discussions on topics like building sustainable interregional value chains, aligning I3 with S3 and other funding instruments, and connecting regional priorities with EU challenges.
The second day of the Forum will be the I3 Instrument Coordinators Day, held at EISMEA premises, with participation possible only for I3 project coordinators and members of discussion groups. I3 project coordinators will be invited to share implementation experiences, explore synergies, and identify cooperation opportunities. The day will also include member meetings offered by the I3 Support Facility, namely I3 Discussion Groups and the Capacity Building Heroes Working Group.
Registration is now open - express your interest in attending here by 4 September at the latest. Please note that due to the limited number of participants, not all registrations may be confirmed. Organisers will follow up with confirmations in the coming weeks.
You can find all the information and draft agendas of the two Forum days on the official event webpage here.
