The rapid development of ‘smart’ technology is influencing us and our everyday lives, whether we like it or not. We do not know all the longer- and sometimes even shorter - consequences of this development.

This seminar features 10 presentations by practitioners and researchers from universities in Finland and abroad. The presentations will highlight wellbeing concerns and opportunities associated with AI technology. The presenters provide multidisciplinary lenses from fields such as Consumer Research, Transformative Service Research, Design, Social Policy, Philosophy and Human Computer Interaction and discussions will range from a focus on the individual consumer to the broader societal level.

The AI and Wellbeing seminar is the 3rd event in the Machine Intelligence and Application (MIA) series, initiated 2018 by University of Vaasa.
