Cultural Heritage connections – building resilient partnerships across Europe
Universities Wales, Welsh Higher Education Brussels and the Welsh Government, in partnership with the Wales Arts and Humanities Alliance, part of the Wales Innovation Network, are organising a networking event. It will highlight Wales' cultural heritage research, wider European links and opportunities for collaboration.
The event will take place on 5 March 2025 from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Brussels Information Point (BIP), Rue Royale 2, Brussels, as part of Wales’ St David’s Day celebrations.
This event offers the opportunity to meet and exchange with cultural heritage researchers from every Welsh university in advance of the proposed new Horizon Europe Partnership in Resilient Cultural Heritage. This new Partnership will focus on cultural heritage and the environment, cultural heritage and society, and cultural heritage management.
More information about research in these areas happening in Wales, including opportunities to connect with researchers and network with key contacts from Wales and beyond. It will feature diverse research areas, such as linguistic heritage and cultural identity in climate engagement contexts, heritage, communities, and co-creation in de-industrialised places, living environmental stories for coastal resilience, and community engagement in sustainable environmental activities.
