The MEP Mr Bogdan Brunon Wenta, the European University Association and the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) are co-organising a seminar entitled “Higher education cooperation for development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Meeting global and regional challenges”. The seminar will take place on 18 October, from 14.30 to 16.30, at the European Parliament in Brussels. The main objective of the seminar is to explore the contribution of higher education to education, research and innovation capacity building in developing countries. It will also discuss possible pathways for synergies between all partners for achieving the goals set by SDG's by 2030.  The seminar will offer African, German, Dutch and Belgian examples of how higher education and research make a difference in the cooperation for development agenda. The target audience will be a mix of representatives from universities or research institutes, education and research associations, NGOs active in cooperation for development, national or regional authorities’ representatives, policy makers at the European level, and any other stakeholder interested in the topic.
