ICT as an enabler for Smart Cities

The ERRIN SCC, ICT and Opening Science WGs joint event "ICT as an enabler for Smart Cities" will take place on 26th October. The event will present the Horizon 2020 2018-2020 work plan relating to smart cities and highlight successful triple helix partnerships at the city level. The morning will begin with an introduction to upcoming calls for Smart Cities under Horizon 2020. With the aim of highlighting successful triple helix partnerships in Smart Cities projects, we have invited three speakers, each representing a part of the triple helix; an university, a public authority and a business. These three case studies related to ICT in Smart Cities will inspire the morning session, where there is opportunity to get new ideas and insights into how successful triple helix partnerships have worked, from three different perspectives. Following these good practises, an Energy NPC will share her tips and tricks for applying for Smart Cities related calls with the audience. Finally, a panel discussion will wrap up the touched upon topics. The event will be followed by the ERRIN brokerage event 20-24th November 2017, and the event can therefore act as first point of contact for future collaboration.
