Moonshots of the 2020s How to Make the Most of the Missions of Horizon Europe? Climate, food and natural resources
University of Helsinki, University of Turku and Tampere University of Technology together with the Universities Finland UNIFI, is pleased to invite you to the high-level seminar addressing the future visions of Finnish universities regarding EU Research and Innovation Policy and Horizon Europe. The seminars will gather representatives of the European institutions, public sector, industry, and other stakeholders, to discuss the great global challenges of our time and their scientific solutions, together with researchers and academic leaders.
Climate, Food & Natural Resources looks at the proposed clusters “Climate, Energy and Mobility” and “Food and Natural Resources” and focuses on the role of excellent multidisciplinary research in solving global challenges and boosting key technologies and solutions together in ambitious transnational collaboration. The event aims at introducing universities capacity and commitment in tackling global challenges and industrial competitiveness especially related to climate change and sustainable development goals.
Our high-level speakers include DG RTD’s HoU for Climate Action and Resource Efficiency Jean-Francois Hulot one of the world’s leading and highly cited atmospheric scientist Prof. Tuukka Petäjä from the University of Helsinki and Academician Eva-Mari Aro Vice-President of the European Academies of Science Advisory Council (EASAC). The event is hosted by Sirpa Pietikäinen, Member of the European Parliament.
