Welcome to our next Policy WG meeting on the topic of European innovation ecosystems in Horizon Europe! In this meeting we will discuss the involvement of regional and local stakeholders in the European innovation ecosystems pillar. The major focus will be the thinking behind, the practicalities of, and implementations of the proposal that this action will give support to joint programmes for interregional smart specialisation strategies in synergy with the EIT activities at national and regional level. As this pillar links to actvities in other programmes, we will also discuss potential syneriges between Horizon Europe and other EU programmes. Ms Magda de Carli, Head of Unit, DG RTD B5, will participate in the meeting to discuss the state of play of Horizon Europe and opportunities linked to European Innovation Ecosystems with us.   Agenda 09.00 - Coffee and registration 09.30 - Start of meeting, discussion among the members on the topic of European Innovation Ecosystems 10.00 - Discussion and Q&A with Ms Magda de Carli, Head of Unit, DG RTD B5 11.00 - Wrap up with the ERRIN members and next meetings We aim to finish the meeting by 11.30.    To prepare for the meeting we would like to have a couple of examples from you – our members – on ecosystems and any problems/obstacles/gaps that you see. In other words, a concrete example of what we need that is not currently available to enhance and develop European innovation ecosystems. If you have any such example please get in touch with Pirita (Pirita.lindholm@errin.eu) and myself (anna.tranberg@errin.eu) as soon as possible. Please also come prepared with questions as there will be a Q&A with Ms de Carli. This could be anything from how the European Innovation Ecosystems links with S3 and the EIT, to potential synergies with Component 5 and the criteria for funding – just to give you some ideas!
