The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE), organised since 2010, is a main European policy forum for innovation and regional development. The event provides a platform for policy makers, public authorities, research centres and enterprises from Europe and gives an opportunity to discuss R&I practices, challenges and possibilities for future works.
The 10th edition will take place from 26 to 28 June in the North-East Regional Development Agency in Iasi (Romania). The event is organised accordingly to the agenda of the Romanian EU Council Presidency 2019 with the support of Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation and the Ministry for Research and Innovation in Romania.
The goals of WIRE X 2019 are:
to elaborate contribution to research, innovation and regional development policies,
to better position regional actors in order to enhance policy formation for effective and innovative regional development,
to contribute effectively to the future of Europe in the field of EU policies, European added value, interregional cooperation and co-investments,
to build on the outcomes of previous WIRE conferences.
