Workshop: "The cultural heritage of war in contemporary Europe: EU programmes and European cooperation"

The workshop aims to offer an overview on some EU funding programmes that support awareness raising and education activities on the European cultural heritage (namely ‘Europe for Citizens’, ‘Erasmus+’ and ‘Creative Europe’), as well as examples of some relevant projects co-financed by the Commission in the previous years. Moreover, the workshop intends to foster the discussion on possible forms of cooperation among regional stakeholders. Therefore, the workshop will be articulated in two parts. In the first session 3 representatives of the Commission will present the different programmes and some examples of previously funded projects. In the second part of the workshop participants will discuss ideas and proposals for cooperation. The workshop is the follow up of the conference "The Road from War to Peace, More Democracy and European Integration. War Architecture, Sites and Memories as Part of European Heritage and History", organised by several ERRIN members within the framework of the European Year of Cultural Heritage. Therefere, the workshop is originally thought to offer networking opportunities to local regional stakeholders. Anyway, the participation is open to any ERRIN member.
