This workshop will discuss ways of making inter-regional and strategic cluster collaboration work for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), based on the example of advanced manufacturing. Europe is a global leader in advanced manufacturing, but uptake by SMEs remains a challenge. Workshop participants will explore how regions and clusters can collaborate to foster SME uptake of advanced manufacturing through practical case studies. These studies will present lessons learned, including from the smart specialisation platform for industrial modernisation, strategic cluster partnerships, technology centres and SMEs. The case studies are intended to stimulate discussion on the benefits of collaboration, as well as the barriers and ways to overcome them. Read more about the event and register here.
