Skåne Association of Local Authorities represents the 33 most southern municipalities in Sweden. In Sweden, due to the local self governance mandate, the municipalities are responsible for many important areas (mandatory tasks are integration, social care, health, education, planning and building issues, environmental and health protection, cleaning and disposal, water and sewer, coastal issues and housing) in which they are interested in co-operation (projects) with other municipalities and regions in EU. The Brussels office of the Skåne Association of Local Authorities is monitoring and participating in several working groups of key interest, such as Blue growth, Energy and Climate, Digitalisation, Water, and also the local representatives from the 33 municipalities in Sweden aim to participate in various related events and working groups in the network of ERRIN.
