The LIFE programme has launched its 2020 call for project proposals. More than €450 million is available for projects dealing with environment, nature and climate actions. The deadlines have also been extended to accommodate the challenging conditions due to the coronavirus restrictions.
LIFE funds projects under its environment and climate action sub-programmes, supporting the European Green Deal. The majority of projects funded by this programme are classed as so-called traditional projects that can be coordinated by any legal entity registered in the EU, including public institutions, businesses and NGOs.
Applications are also being accepted for integrated projects, which run strategic EU plans on the environment and the climate, with a regional, multi-regional, national or trans-national dimension.
The modified application process is now that applicants must outline their idea with a concept note by July 2020 and they then have until February 2021 to submit a full project proposal. Click here for more information and to apply.
