48 Mission Cities selected for the Enabling City Transformation Programme
The work under the EU Mission for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities is set to be strengthened as 48 Mission Cities receive €22.6 million through the Enabling City Transformation Programme. Out of the 26 projects selected in the call, which ran from June to October this year, ERRIN is pleased to see that 32 of the successful Mission Cities come from ERRIN member regions.
Over the course of this 18-month programme, Mission Cities will tackle systemic challenges and explore innovative solutions to scale up the implementation of their Climate City Contracts. Building on the testing and experimentation approach established in the Pilot Cities Programme, the focus now shifts towards large-scale implementation.
The 48 cities will begin their journey in March 2025. Insights from the programme aim to benefit cities across Europe and contribute to a portfolio of transformative interventions.
