Consultation: draft proposal New Horizon Europe Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience
ERA action for Green Transformation: Future4Work
Since 2022, ERRIN's SEFS Working Group has been monitoring the preparation of new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the Future4work, which started as part of the ERA Action 11 dedicated to an ERA for Green Transformation. In 2023–2024, DG R&I and DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion organised several stakeholder workshops to prepare this initiative.
New Horizon Europe Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience
This Partnership will create a transformative R&I programme with, but not limited to, the social sciences and humanities (SSH) to explore and make use of their potential to strengthen resilience, fairness, inclusiveness and social cohesion in the light of changes in climate and environment, technology, demography and unexpected shocks. It will contribute to policy solutions at European, national, and regional level by developing knowledge, tools and innovative solutions to address contemporary social challenges in a collaborative, inter- and trans-disciplinary and systematic way.
Four impact areas have been defined:
Social protection and essentials services
Future of Work
Education and Skills
Fair transition to climate neutrality
Now published: Draft proposal for the Social Transformations and Resilience Partnership
The partnership is expected to be launched in 2027 and will be coordinated by the National Science Centre in Poland. The draft proposal for the STR Partnership has now been published. One of the key impact areas is the future of work – how evolving trends will shape employment, skills, and workforce dynamics in the coming years.
