We are excited to launch ERRIN's Annual Work Plans for 2025, outlining the upcoming activities and priorities of ERRIN's Working Groups and Task Forces for 2025.

Each year, ERRIN's member-led Working Groups and Task Forces develop Annual Plans that define their strategic priorities and outline the planned activities and key objectives for the year ahead. These plans are shaped by member feedback and designed to align with key EU priorities, initiatives and funding opportunities, ensuring ERRIN’s activities remain closely linked to the evolving EU R&I agenda.

For 2025, we are introducing a new, more integrated approach – for the first time, the Annual Plans are organised according to ERRIN’s Cluster structure, bringing together the work of our Working Groups and Task Forces into broader Cluster Annual Plans. This approach enhances collaboration and strategic coordination and fosters stronger connections between policy and projects, with a stronger emphasis on strategic issues going beyond sector specific priorities. The collective voice of each Cluster will amplify the Working Groups’ messages, reinforcing their influence on key EU strategies and initiatives.

ERRIN has anchored key initiatives of the European Commission's 2025 Work Programme in its workstreams, offering members numerous opportunities to keep updated, discuss and provide inputs to Commission's new initiatives from the start. These initiatives include:

• Strategic Cluster: Post-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework proposals, Competitiveness Compass, Union of Skills, EU Start-up and Scale up Strategy, the ERA and Innovation Acts
• Low Carbon: Clean Industrial Deal, Sustainable Transport Investment Plan
• Natural Resources and Adaptation: Update of the Bioeconomy Strategy, Ocean Pact, European Water Resilience Strategy
• Health: Critical Medicines Act, Life Science Strategy, Action Plan cybersecurity of hospitals and healthcare providers, Strategy to support medical countermeasures against public health threats
• Culture and Creativity: New Framework for Culture and Culture Heritage
• ICT: Digital package, Digital Networks Act, The AI Continent Action Plan and Quantum Strategy of EU.

A dynamic year lies ahead – from policy dialogues and project development to mutual learning and strategic partnerships, the plans outline a rich and ambitious agenda for 2025.
