New European Bauhaus opportunity for small municipalities

New European Bauhaus opportunity for small municipalities

The European Commission has launched two opportunities for 2025 under the New European Bauhaus initiative, including the NEB Boost for Small Municipalities and the New European Bauhaus Prizes.

The NEB Boost for Small Municipalities offers €600,000 to support 20 projects that align with the NEB values. This award recognises 20 ongoing NEB-related projects, focusing on community engagement and transforming the built environment.

Targeting municipalities with populations under 20,000 or in rural areas, the NEB Boost will reward projects that renovate buildings and public spaces, helping to drive the New European Bauhaus movement’s inclusivity.

The 20 winners will receive a €30,000 prize and a tailored communication package from the European Commission to amplify their achievements and ensure their visibility on a broader scale.

The application deadline is 14 February 2025 at 19:00. For detailed information on eligibility criteria and to apply, please visit the NEB Boost guide to applications and the New European Bauhaus Prizes platform.

An online info session will be organised on 4 February between 10:30 and 12:00 to answer applicants' questions. Click here to join the session.

In addition, the NEB Prizes 2025 will reward 22 projects and concepts that combine sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusiveness. With a special focus on affordable housing, winners will receive up to €30,000 and support to promote their work. The deadline for applications is 14 February 2025.
