Smart Regions Conference 3.0: Transformation through Smart specialisation

Self-Assess with the Green City Tool

Following the recent closure of applications for the European Green Capital and European Green Leaf awards, the European Commission is celebrating World Cities Day by highlighting its Green City Tool. Working as both as a means of benchmarking and self-assessment, the tool allows cities to commit and communicate their efforts to becoming greener and more sustainable cities. With a focus on sustainable urban planning, the tool emphasies on city governence and approach, rather than quantititve measures.

Bio-based Industries Consortium - bioeconomy platform for regions

The Bio-based Industries Consortium are launching a digital platform to create partnerships between regions and industries. The concept is based on a digital, partnering platform where regions and industry can make contact based on mutual interest. The platform focuses on creating local value chains and access to finance, namely helping regions and industry bridge the gap about bio-based investment opportunities at the level of regions.
