New NEB Facility will support the NEB from 2025 to 2027

This week marks the adoption of the NEB Facility, the first multi-annual budget support tool for the New European Bauhaus from 2025 to 2027. Its aim is to create and scale up innovative solutions that can revitalise European neighbourhoods through design for sustainability and inclusion.

Mission Ocean and Waters Technical Assistance Call

The European Commission launched a call for technical assistance to support communities of stakeholders working with ports, islands and fisheries. Set within the sea basins of the Mission Ocean and Waters - the Mediterranean, Atlantic & Arctic, Danube, and North & Baltic Sea - this technical assistance aims to empower and guide these communities towards impactful and sustainable feasibility studies for their projects to achieve the Mission objectives. The first cycle will close on 24 May 2024.

NEIA implementation report & Regional Innovation Valleys update

On 20 March, the Commission published the first report on the state of play of the New European Innovation Agenda, following its launch in July 2022. The document outlines the progress and achievements with regard to the 25 actions under Agenda’s five flagships, including the Regional Innovation Valleys. On the same day, an EU R&I Days debate on the way forward for RIVs was also held.

Join the Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’: Sign the Manifesto!

The European Commission and ERRIN recently launched the Mission Soil Manifesto. Representatives of municipalities, regions, private or public companies and organisations, NGOs and philanthropic organisations, schools and education institutions, research institutions, as well as Individuals can also sign the Manifesto and join a vibrant community of practice dedicated to soil health.

Driving the transition towards healthy soils in Europe: SOILL - Support Structure for SOIL Living Labs

ERRIN is pleased to announce its participation in the Framework Partnership 'SOILL - Support Structure for SOIL Living Labs' which is currently in the Grant Agreement Preparation stage and set to commence in January 2024. SOILL will support, organise, expand and advocate for the network of 100 Soil Mission Living Labs and Lighthouses throughout the entire implementation of the Mission Soil.

Taxi drones, smart traffic lights and charging robots: innovative mobility solutions presented at the RECIPROCITY Linz Study Visit

How does a cab drone work? What are charging robots? And what happens when the cameras of autonomous vehicles cannot read traffic signs correctly? These and many other questions were explored by 50 participants from all over Europe for four days at the Mobility Mission Linz as part of the RECIPROCITY project.

NetZeroCities Call for Twin Cities opening on 3 May

On 3 May 2023, NetZeroCities, in which ERRIN is a partner, will launch a Call for Twin Cities. This Twinning programme is a tailored learning programme for knowledge sharing and transfer of good practices between European cities, selected as Twins, and the 53 cities that were selected to join the NetZeroCities’ Pilot Cities Programme in March 2023. Applications will be accepted from 3 May until 30 June 23:59 CEST.
