Online consultation on Digital Europe Programme

The European Commission has opened a consultation on the draft Orientation of the first two years of its proposed Digital Europe programme. Inputs received through the consultation will help the Commission finalise the Orientations for Digital Europe. These will then shape the work programmes and calls for proposals for the programme’s first two years (2021-2022).

European Capital of Innovation 2019 announced

Last week at the Research and Innovation Days the Commission announced the European Capital of Innovation for 2019. The city of Nantes in north-west France was awarded the title, securing a €1 million prize funded by Horizon 2020.

STOA study & briefing 'New technologies and regional policy: Towards the next cohesion policy framework' published

A STOA study and briefing has now been published, reporting on the workshop on 'New Technologies and Regional Policy: Towards the Next cohesion policy Framework'. The European Parliament's Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) Panel organised the workshop in Brussels on 16 October 2017. The objective was to provide input to the debate on the next EU cohesion policy, after 2020. The workshop focused on the impact of new technologies at the European and regional levels, affecting EU cohesion policy and regional innovation-led growth.

Open Call for Regional Development Agencies’ Participation in OaSIS project (H2020)

To help regional development agencies and other entities supporting innovating SMEs in Europe to improve their SME segmentation and innovation support services, the OaSIS project seeks to establish cooperation agreements and launches a public call for participation. Eurada, Linknovate, and Cracow University of Technology initiated the project, funded by the European Commission’s H2020 program (GA No 777443).

The first call of Got Energy Talent (GET)

GOT ENERGY TALENT (GET) is a fellowship programme co-funded by the EU as part of the H2020-MSCA-COFUND programme (Grant Agreement number 754382). GET is run by the University of Alcalá (UAH) as beneficiary of the action in collaboration with the University Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). Both universities co-fund the action in equal parts. GET is an ambitious programme that aims not only to enable researchers to conduct their own excellent research project.

3 Pre-Commercial Procurements initiative recently launched by Lombardy Region

In the framework of ERDF ROP 2014-2020 - the action 1.I.b.3.1 “Strengthening and upgrading government demand for innovation through the support for Pre-commercial Public Procurement and Innovation Procurement”  foresees three calls for tenders to develop innovative solutions to satisfy the public sector needs. The 3 topics selected for PCP - which enables public procurers to compare alternative potential solution approaches and filter out the best possible solutions that the market can deliver - concerne the healthcare domain: 1) Evaluation of the fragility of the coronary atherosclerotic plaq

ERRIN and Auvergne Rhone Alpes to host a session at WIRE 2018

  ERRIN and Auvergne Rhone Alpes Region are hosting a session “Cooperation between regional innovation ecosystems: inspiration from Alpine Regions” during the 9th edition of the WIRE conference taking place on 4-6 July 2018 in Innsbruck (Austria). The session focuses on how to use EU policies and instruments in a coordinated manner, across governance levels, to support transformation towards resilient, inclusive and sustainable growth at territorial level.

Internship opportunity at ERRIN (Deadline for applications: 5 July 2018)

ERRIN is seeking a Project and Communications intern to join its team. The main tasks of the Project & Communications Intern include supporting a wide range of project tasks as well as communications and managing content on the ERRIN website. All roles in ERRIN involve certain degree of multi-tasking and provide room for growth.
