Proposal Information
Friuli Innovazione, a Scientific and Technological park based in Italy, is looking for a Lead Partner (coordinator) for setting-up a European Open Innovation Network with a central brokerage service point in response to the Call for proposals INNOSUP-07-2019 (deadline: 01/08/2019). Friuli Innovazione boosts a sound experience in management of large transnational EU project, mainly in the field of technology transfer, business development, start up programmes, with more than 40 project implemented as partner or lead partner. Friuli Innovazione is part of the regional "Open Innovation System"and is running the Additive FVG laboratory, a public-private partnership project dedicated to 3D printing where companies can learn, cooperate and jointly work to the get used with additive manufacturing technologies Their task is to foster collaboration between researchers and companies and the industrial use of scientific and technological results produced by research. Main objectives are achieved through providing assistance in favour of young entrepreneurs, companies and researchers in the development of business ideas; in favour of innovative and high-tech, through the search for partners and funding, the start-up of new businesses, incubation, etc.. Their services are oriented towards some of the main strategic sectors for the economy and the regional research system (ICT, Additive Manufacturing, Metallurgy and Surface and Advanced Materials Technology, Energy and the Environment, Biotechnologies): in this view, Friuli Innovazione is trying to take part in this call INNOSUP-07-2019, and therefore offers an extended expertise in SMEs, start-up, business incubators field (> 37 projects funded, >33 million €) and in activities linked to innovative solutions based on advanced technologies matching the needs of industrial users. Thanks to its location, Friulinnovazione disposes of a huge network of contacts (Universities, Research insitutions, Technology Centres, TOT, industry, Public Administrations), also in reference to the Balcan area. Total budget of the call: approximately 1.5 million €Expected impact of the project: 1) collaboration projects between SME solution providers and (large, multinational) industry users; 2) sustainable network ensuring effective matchmaking between innovative solutions among the participants; 3) positive business impacts for SME providers having benefited from the brokerage services; 4) increased provision by SMEs of innovative solutions based on advanced technologies matching the needs of industrial users. Duration: approximately 3 years - the network is expected to work towards financial sustainability and remain active after the end of the project.
