Call for evidence: Health checks for cardiovascular diseases
This call for evidence by the European Commission is open for feedback and will be until 19 May. Input will be taken into account as the Commission further develops and fine-tunes this initiative.
The proposed Council recommendation on health checks for cardiovascular diseases will support Member States in organising evidence-based screening for cardiovascular diseases tailored to their specific health systems and national and regional situations. It aims to improve early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and key risk factors, thereby reducing premature mortality from cardiovascular diseases and related non-communicable diseases, while also helping to reduce health inequalities within and between Member States.
