Cultural Heritage in Action is one of the actions of the European Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage  of the European Commission. The project shall empower cities and regions to strengthen their cultural heritage policies and initiatives as well as develop innovative solutions to preserve cultural heritage assets. Scoping The Horizon Workshop

A two-day strategic planning and proposal workshop at MetroLab will take place in Brussels in December. The workshop hopes particpants will share the burden of consortium forming and proposal preparation, allowing them to work collaborativley across different calls. Specifically the workshop will address forthcoming calls of common interest, mainly under Science with and for Society (SwafS), Societal Challenge 6 and ICT, though you are more than welcome to discuss other calls.  Please register at this link by 6 December 2019. 

Design & Creativity WG: Planning for 2020

In order to start planning activities for 2020, all Design & Creativity WG members are invited to a meeting where we will discuss the possible topics for the year ahead. The meeting will take place on 9th December at ERRIN premises.  Due to participatory character of the meeting and our bottom-up approach, we strongly encourage everyone to collect the key interests for your region/institution beforehand and join our discussion! New JRC initiative to explore culture in EU cities and towns

JRC launches EU Culture from Home, an initiative linked to the open source web app Cultural gems aimed at mapping online activities developed by cultural organisations in European cities, in order to explore synergies and cooperation.  This new tag will accompany all the cultural initiatives accessible online and collected in Cultural gems. Switch culture on, meet artists and visit heritage in European cities.

New platform to unite creative & cultural sectors during COVID-19

Today the Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, has launched a dedicated platform to help those working in cultural and creative sectors to share information, measures and solutions during the coronavirus outbreak. Creatives Unite is an online platform that will serve as a forum for the cultural and creative sectors to share and generate ideas and initiatives during the pandemic. The platform will be run and curated by Creative FLIP - a pilot project implemented by the European Parliament and led by the Goethe Institut.  Read more about…

We are currently drafting a project to reactivate the inherent and historical multifunctional ecosystems of rural estates and connect them to the digital technologies of the future. We see an important link to the Creative Europe call and want to set up a pilot project around the participation of digital communities in the valuation, opening up or redevelopment of cultural heritage.
