EU regions are at the forefront of climate change adaptation. With competencies in critical fields such as economic development, transport, energy or health, they have to adapt the way they design and implement regional public policies to reduce and manage climate risks. Building on regional examples from Normandie, Mid-Norway, and South Ostrobothnia, this workshop will focus on ways to ‘mainstream’ climate adaptation in regional public policies and showcase the efforts towards this process in different EU regions. The panel discussion will conclude with a reaction and update from the Mission Adaptation Secretariat.
