S3 Webinar: Paving the way for industrial transition through systemic change and inclusive strategies

The S3 Community of Practice and DG REGIO are organising a series of webinars directed to all S3 practitioners and stakeholders from regions across the EU. The second webinar in the series will focus on "Paving the way for industrial transition through systemic change and inclusive strategies" and will be held by the S3 CoP Working Group on Industrial Transition on 22 May 2024 from 14:30-16:30 CEST.

The third webinar in the series will focus on "Understanding the bottlenecks to innovation diffusion: insights from EU regions" and will be held by the S3 CoP Working Group on Innovation Diffusion on 23 May 2024 from 10:00-12:00 CEST.

Shaping the content NEB Facility: ERRIN NEB Task Force meeting

ERRIN members are invited to join the next NEB Task Force meeting, which will focus on the recently announced NEB Facility. The meeting will include the participation of the JRC, which will present the two components of the facility. It will allow members to provide direct feedback and inputs to support the shaping of the content and coherent planning of the Facility. The meeting will take place on 27 May.

Converging technologies: Towards healthcare of the future

This Belgian presidency conference will bring together prominent academics and policymakers to explore the healthcare of the future with technologies and the potential of the different European partnerships and infrastructures during the captivating two-day conference from 28-29 May. This conference will be an opportunity to gain insights into the potential of technologies and innovative approaches for better well-being and health.

Mobility Solutions Show

The Mobility Solutions Show is a professional event dedicated to urban and peri-urban mobility solutions. The event will take place on 29-30 May 2024, in Toulouse (France).

The Pact for Skills for CCIs - What next after the Year of Skills?

ERRIN Design & Creativity Working Group is hosting a meeting to discuss the Pact for Skills, its achievements and its legacy. The meeting will offer ERRIN members an overview of the current developments in the Large Scale Partnership for CCIs and some concrete ongoing examples in a dialogue with the European Commission.

Water4All Partnership - Green Week Partner Event 2024

In the frame of the Green Week, the Horizon Europe Partnership Water4All, together with the WaterCampus in Leeuwarden, organises an event to highlight the results of the first calls and highlight solutions for water resilience in cities and industries. The event will take place in Brussels on 30 May, 13:00 - 17:30.

European Maritime Day 2024

The European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual two-day event during which Europe’s maritime community meet to network, discuss and outline joint action on maritime affairs and sustainable blue economy. European Maritime Day 2024 will take place in Svendborg, Denmark, on 30-31 May 2024, as a physical event. 

Living Labs in EU Missions and Partnerships

ENoLL, the European Network of Living Labs, will hold an event on 'Living Labs in EU Missions and Partnerships', featuring expert speakers from the European Commission and successful Living Lab projects, to explore collaboration and synergies between Living Labs, innovation ecosystems connecting different stakeholders, and other EU initiatives, namely the EU Missions. The event will take place on 30 May.

UnILiON invites you to its Brokerage Event under the Civil Security for Society Calls on Cluster 3 Calls, which will take place online on Monday, 03 June, 14:30 to 17:30 CET.

HOOP Policy Conference: What barriers and drivers for the transition to local circular bioeconomy systems?

The HOOP Policy Conference, taking place on 4-5 June at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels, will discuss the barriers and drivers for the transition to local circular bioeconomy systems. This conference will bring cities and regions together to discuss and learn about implementing innovative circular bioeconomy solutions. A dedicated policy session will allow cities to voice their concerns and challenges to EU institutions and federations. Registration is open until 24 May.

Bio2REG workshop: 'How to successfully fund bioeconomy transition transition'

BIO2REG is organising its expert workshop focussing on how to fund the transition to a bioeconomy model in regions. This workshop will take place online on 4 June 2024 from 13:00 to 16:00 CEST.

Why Missions? A Mission in Health: the EU Cancer Mission

This ECHoS project webinar will delve into the transformative impact of the EU Cancer Mission and is the first entry in the project's Cancer Mission Impact: A Practitioner’s Series. Learn. Test. This webinar is suited for healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and anyone engaged or interested in the advancement of cancer care and research.

Co-creation and citizen engagement in EU Missions Workshop

ERRIN is supporting the REINFORCING project in organising an interactive workshop aimed at exploring the challenges and needs faced by cities and regions regarding citizen engagement within the EU Missions. The project will support organisations financially with specific training, capacity-building sessions, mentoring opportunities and peer learning. The workshop will be organised on 23 April between 11:30-13:00 at ERRIN’s office.

Policy WG meeting: Role of EU Missions in FP10

ERRIN has been actively working on the topic of EU Missions as one of the network's priorities. As we continue preparations towards the next European Framework Programme for R&I, the upcoming Policy Working Group meeting will focus on the role of EU Missions in FP10. The event will take place in person at the ERRIN premises on 23 April from 14:00-16:00.

Regulatory Sandboxes as Enablers for CleanTech and Circular Innovation – EU Level Experiences and Future Collaboration Possibilities

This in-person event focuses on what regulatory sandboxes can provide to facilitate the deployment of disruptive technologies in CleanTech and Circularity. Regulatory sandboxes are an experimentation tool allowing innovators to develop and test products, services and business models in a controlled real-world environment supervised by authorities. Evaluating the societal innovation impact of R&I: learnings from Horizon 2020 and looking forward to FP10

This forthcoming SEFS Working Group meeting on Monday, 22 April, is dedicated to the outcomes of the Ex post-evaluation of Horizon 2020 was published on 29 January 2024. It will discuss the impact of Horizon 2020 funding for social innovation and look forward to FP10. The aim of the meeting is to foster a better understanding of what worked well and what the remaining challenges are.

WCEF 2024 accelerator session: Inspiring best practices from a circular hub in Northern Netherlands

Chemport Europe, the provinces of Groningen and Friesland, the Municipality of Groningen, hubs Circulair Groningen and Circular Friesland, Groningen Seaports, Greenwise Circular Plastics, and Holland Circular Hotspot, collaboratively organise an official WCEF2024 accelerator session on the northern Netherlands’ bottom-up, regional approach towards circularity, illustrated by best practices in plastics, textile and construction on 18 April from 13:00-14:30 at the House of the Dutch Provinces.
