EU Cancer Mission - First project cluster policy webinar: Understanding Cancer
The first Mission Cancer project cluster policy webinar will explore how to work together to make better use of project results in the area of understanding cancer. This #EUHPP Live Webinar will bring together stakeholder and citizen perspectives on research and innovation, providing early exposure to the cluster projects launched under the Cancer Mission.
European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)
The 2024 edition of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will take place from 11 to 13 June 2024 in Brussels and online. The theme for EUSEW 2024 will be “Net zero energy solutions for competitive Europe”.
Smart Specialisation WG meeting: S3 and PRI – the way ahead
The year 2024 marks the opening of a new chapter for the Partnerships for Regional Innovation (PRI) as an initiative building on S3 to support innovation for place-based transformations. The meeting will present the latest and upcoming PRI developments and opportunities for engagement, alongside regional insights and an interactive discussion.The event will be held online on 11 June from 14:00-15:30 CEST.
Digital Ocean Forum 2024
The Digital Ocean Forum 2024 will take place on Thursday 13 June, both in-person in Brussels and online. It will be the occasion to unveil the prototype of the Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) and to showcase what the EU DTO, as a Commission public service, can do for the sustainable development of our blue economies and the management of our ocean resources.
Tech4SmartCities 2024
Tech4SmartCities 2024 will be organised on 18 June, back to back with the GreenTech Forum Brussels. This B2B event focuses on sustainable and smart digital technologies for cities and invites interested stakeholders to discover business and cooperation opportunities in the fields of urban mobility, energy performance, sustainable construction, circularity, low carbon economy and digital transformation.
Cities Mission Conference 2024
The third annual conference for the Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities will be held in Valencia, Spain, on 25-26 June 2024. The European Commission and NetZeroCities invite political representatives and practitioners from the 112 Mission Cities to celebrate the Mission’s progress and to share valuable insights, experiences, and inspiration.
Towards a research agenda for the EU Mission on Climate-neutral and Smart Cities
Researchers who have actively worked with Pilot Cities or Mission Cities within the frame of the EU Mission on 100 Climate-neutral and Smart Cities by 2030 are invited to join a collaborative event geared towards advancing research in the Cities Mission. The event aims to develop and foster a robust network of universities and research institutions actively engaged in this endeavour while allowing participants to learn more about the NetZeroCities project and the Mission Cities and potentially develop shared research outputs. The event will be organised on 25 June in Valencia, Spain.
Future Now Forum - Elevating Urban Innovation
The Future Now Forum, held in Linköping, Sweden, on September 16-17, 2024, delves into sustainable urban solutions, featuring international speakers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions. Additionally, it highlights the innovations and partnerships that positioned Linköping as 2023's European Rising Innovative City. The event unites experts and leaders from various sectors, offering a collaborative platform to address urban challenges and opportunities.
EU Design Day 2024
Save the date for the next edition of the EU Design Day! There will be networking opportunities to see many familiar and new faces and be inspired by the initiatives and projects! This year's topic is: From citizens to citizens - shared places in community spaces.
SESAR Innovation Days (SIDs)
The SESAR Innovation Days (SIDs) serve as the primary platform for the SESAR Joint Undertaking to share advancements and disseminate research findings related to air traffic management (ATM). The SIDs invite contributions from the ATM research community through an open call. The event will take place on 12-15 November 2024.

NZC Open Call for Twin Cities Cohort 2: Information session
NetZeroCities is hosting an information session on their Call for Twin Cities for prospective applicants on 18 April from 14:00-15:15. This information webinar will provide guidance and support to prospective Twin City applicants on applying to the Call for Twin Cities Cohort 2 and offer a space for applicants to have their questions answered and provide an overview of the Twinning Learning Programme.

Cancer Mission: The role of regions, Health WG meeting
The Health Working Group is hosting a joint meeting with the EUREGHA Cancer Working Group that will explore the role of Regions in the Cancer Mission. Regional examples will be presented, along with updates from the Cancer Mission Secretariat and the ECHoS National Cancer Misson Hubs project on regional engagement. The meeting will take place from 14:00-16:00 on 17 April 2024 at the ERRIN offices.

Raw materials at stake
Following the Action Plan on Critical Raw Materials of the European Commission, which develops value chains for EU industrial ecosystems to reduce dependency through resource circularity and innovation, the University of Lorraine, along with European and socioeconomics stakeholders, will exchange on three key issues: taking stock of the substitution issues which have geopolitical consequences, of recycling, which is set to develop considerably, and finally of the training and skills needs at European level in these areas. Bridging the Gap between the EU's 2040 Climate Goals and the Shortage of Skilled Labour – Towards Climate Neutral and Smart Cities

UnILiON Brokerage event on Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (Transport, Energy and Mobility)
This event is organised by Brussels liaison offices from the UnILiON network. UnILiON is an informal network of around 54 Brussels-based liaison offices that represent over 160 universities across Europe, as well as in the UK, Japan, and Norway. The event aims to build a platform for everyone, bringing stakeholders together to share ideas, knowledge, and expertise and find suitable partners for future consortia under the specific Horizon Europe calls in Cluster 5, focusing on Destinations 2 and 6.
