Open call for policy sessions at the European Sustainable Energy Week: deadline 22 January

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026 is set to mark a major milestone as it celebrates the 20th edition of the EU’s flagship event for clean energy and renewables. Organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), EUSEW 2026 will take place from 9 to 11 June 2026, in a hybrid format in Brussels and online. Find more information here.

The 3-day EUSEW Policy Conference is the cornerstone of the week, featuring high-level plenaries and dozens of interactive sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders. Discussions focus on:

  • Energy policy and the Energy Union
  • Renewable energy and energy efficiency
  • Best practices and innovative approaches
  • New policy developments supporting Europe’s transition to a climate-neutral, competitive and resilient economy

An open call for policy session proposals is now inviting public authorities, policy experts, civil society, academia and industry representatives to actively shape the EUSEW 2026 programme. Policy sessions are 90 minutes long, take place onsite in Brussels, and can be organised in a wide range of interactive formats, including panels, debates, workshops or more creative approaches. The deadline to apply is 22 January 2026.

ERRIN Member Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes have published a call for a speaker for their policy session application dedicated to the energy challenges in mountain regions. ERRIN members can learn more here.
