CTA

CTA is a private foundation made up of more than 165 companies promoting technological innovation. Companies of any size and sector can be members of CTA as long as they have a strong commitment to technological innovation CTA has established itself as a pioneering and unique model for the transfer of technology and the promotion of R&D&I, in which governments and institutions from other regions and countries have shown interest. It integrates the strengths of all the actors in the innovation system: governments, companies, universities. CTA has seven Strategic sectors for action, which are considered to be of maximum strategic importance for the Andalusian economy: Aerospace and Production Processes, Agri-foods, Biotechnology, Construction and Civil Engineering, Energy and the Environment, Leisure and Tourism, and ICT.

What do we do?

1. We finance economically or socially viable business projects involving Andalusian public research groups. (Andalusian public universities and research centres through their research groups (more than 350 PAIDI groups in projects).

2. We encourage technology transfer between universities and companies.

3. We disseminate the need for innovation in companies, especially SMEs, to increase their competitiveness.

4. We increase the presence of Andalusian companies in national and international R&D&I programmes.

Strategic R&I Projects

EERES4WATER

The EERES4WATER (Fostering renewable energies and energy efficiency) project aims to optimize the energy management of the integral water cycle. Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) leads this project, which also includes 11 research centres and technology companies from five Atlantic countries.

DIGITBRAIN

DIGITBRAIN: Digital twins bringing agility and innovation to manufacturing SMEs, by empowering a network of DIHs with an integrated digital platform that enables Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS). The DIGITbrain project is deeply rooted in the innovation ecosystem of the I4MS project CloudiFacturing and the industrial platforms FIWARE and IDS, and it will build on these results, by means of extending the CloudiFacturing solution.

GEN4OLIV

GEN4OLIVE: Mobilization of Olive GenRes through pre-breeding activities to face the future challenges and development of an intelligent interface to ensure friendly information availability for end-users. GEN4OLIVE encompasses a wide, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary consortium, which aims to leverage olive GenRes by bringing them to a higher level closer to breeders and markets.
