The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Commission are hosting a joint Knowledge Exchange Platform (KEP) event as a side event of European Research and Innovation Days 2021.

Twice a year, the KEP provides an occasion for open exchange between the Commission and Committee of the Regions' members on topics that are jointly selected. This event will discuss the role of regions and cities in the European Research Area (ERA) and opportunities presenting themselves from Horizon Europe.

During this first KEP of the year, ERRIN's Chair Sarah English (Scotland Europa) will speak on behalf of ERRIN to highlight the important of ecosystem thinking as a framework within the renewed ERA.
