Europe is deeply committed to meeting decarbonisation targets at the global level and has introduced important measures and initiatives to pave the way to reaching them. Skills are essential to increasing competence, resources, and autonomy and are the basis for the EU's remaining a global leader in climate action.

ALBATTS—Alliance for Batteries Technology, Training and Skills is a European-funded project that has designed a blueprint for future competencies and training schemes in the battery and electromobility sector. It is highly relevant to the development of the battery value chain.

This series of events aims to activate education stakeholders to enable a prepared education network for the emerging battery ecosystem in Europe. Partners in different countries are called to mobilise national and regional players directly or indirectly involved with the battery value chain. The goal is to provide the highlights of ALBATTS results, the identified skills and job roles and the support with developed training courses. Also, to understand, identify and address specific situations and needs of each region.
Regions outside the partnership will also be targeted through core partners and using the Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA) network. 

Target groups include national/regional education and training authorities, education and training providers, the labour market, and businesses associated with energy storage systems, as well as sectoral associations and European institutions dealing with the green transition.
