The Liaison Agency Flanders-Europe (VLEVA) organizes the information session "The Austrian presidency and the EU-funding programmes: Horizon Europe and COSME"
The successors of Horizon2020 and COSME are the talk of the town in Europe. Starting in 2021 there will be two new programmes in place. The European Commision launched their proposals for Horizon Europe and the new COSME-programme. The Flanders-Europe Liaison Agency (VLEVA) and the Flemish Department for Economy, Science and Innovation invite you to discover these new programmes on the 4th of July 2018.
Austria will take over the presidency of the Council from Bulgaria on the 1st of July. They will be the first to lead discussions on the new EU-budget in the Council. We invited the Austrian Presidency to present their priorities for research, innovation, industry and the internal market. Flemish attaché Karoline Van den Brande will give us an update on the progress the Bulgarian presidency made in these topics.
Marnix Surgeon (Deputy Head of Unit Analysis and Monitoring of National Research and Innovation Policies, European Commission) will explain the new proposal about Horizon Europe. Astrid Bartels (Team Leader COSME Financial Instruments, European Commission) and Inigo Urresti (Acting Head of Unit Strategic Planning, European Commission) will present the main differences between the current COSME-programme and the new one.
