Data and digital tools are widely used within different sectors of the bioeconomy – from the agri-food and forestry sectors to waste management, to increase the efficiency and profitability of these sectors but also to foster the sustainable use of resources.

This joint Bioeconomy and ICT WG meeting aims to shed light on the use of data in different bioeconomy related sectors in regions across Europe, by inviting projects and initiatives from ERRIN member regions to present their activities. The European Commission will be invited to present the use of digital tools in R&I activities to enable the transition of industrial circular bio-based systems in the EU.
