This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy. As part of this milestone, the European Commission has adopted a progress report on the updated EU Bioeconomy Strategy from 2018, to take stock of the achievements and identify the gaps of the EU bioeconomy actions. This Bioeconomy Working Group meeting will dive into the findings of the report by inviting the European Commission to present the progress report and its outcomes.

The Bio-based Industries Consortium has recently launched a regional funding platform, which aims to make it easier for companies to find regional funding opportunities and to facilitate peer learning and policy exchange on funding programmes between regions. The BIC Secretariat has been invited to present the new database and the role of regions in BIC.

The Working Group leaders will also present an overview of the planned Bioeconomy WG activities for autumn.
