The Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the EU is to host an event that will discuss how an ambitious and competitive research system needs both innovation and research to suceed. The event will consider how both the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Research Council (ERC) play decisive roles in the innovation chain. 

The event will feature statements by the president of the ERC, Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, and the director of the EIC's task force, Jean-David Malo. There will also be a panel debate.
